Foi mais uma sess\u00e3o interessante, de perguntas e respostas e serviu para os presentes constatarem que o Barreiro est\u00e1 a ficar envelhecido e que temos de come\u00e7ar a viver com esta realidade.<\/p>\n

H\u00e1 que incentivar investidores no sentido de criar estruturas de apoio \u00e0s necessidades desta popula\u00e7\u00e3o idosa.<\/p>\n

A popula\u00e7\u00e3o residente no concelho do Barreiro, de acordo com os resultados provis\u00f3rios dos Censos 2011 publicados pelo INE, \u00e9 de 78.764 habitantes, tendo-se registado uma descida residual de 0,3 % relativamente ao ano de 2001.<\/p>\n

H\u00e1 20 anos, em 1991, cerca de 1\/5 da popula\u00e7\u00e3o pertencia ao grupo et\u00e1rio mais jovem (0 -14 anos) e apenas 11,3 % estava inclu\u00edda no grupo et\u00e1rio dos mais idosos (com 65 ou + anos). Em 2011, o Barreiro apresenta pouco mais de 14 % da popula\u00e7\u00e3o no grupo et\u00e1rio mais jovem e cerca de 22 % da popula\u00e7\u00e3o tem 65 ou + anos de idade.<\/p>\n

Entre 2001 e 2011 verificou-se um ligeiro aumento da popula\u00e7\u00e3o jovem e um aumento acentuado da popula\u00e7\u00e3o idosa, respectivamente 10,2 % e 36,9 %. A popula\u00e7\u00e3o jovem em idade activa (15 -24 anos) diminuiu cerca de 31,6 % e o grupo da popula\u00e7\u00e3o entre os 25 -64 anos decresceu 5,4%.<\/p>\n

A rela\u00e7\u00e3o de masculinidade apurada atrav\u00e9s dos censos 2011 acentuou, no Concelho do Barreiro, o predom\u00ednio do n\u00famero de mulheres face aos homens. Em2011, arela\u00e7\u00e3o de masculinidade \u00e9 de 90,2 homens para 100 mulheres, enquanto que este indicador em 2001 era de 93,4 homens para 100 mulheres.<\/p>\n

A evolu\u00e7\u00e3o da popula\u00e7\u00e3o por freguesia no per\u00edodo intercensit\u00e1rio 2001 \u2013 2011 assumiu comportamentos distintos, de decr\u00e9scimo em alguns casos (Barreiro, Verderena, Alto do Seixalinho) e de acr\u00e9scimo noutros (Lavradio, Santo Ant\u00f3nio da Charneca, Santo Andr\u00e9, Palhais e Coina).<\/p>\n

Regista-se um progressivo aumento do \u00edndice de envelhecimento, sendo o Barreiro, com um \u00edndice de 152,2 %, o concelho da Pen\u00ednsula de Set\u00fabal\u00a0 que apresenta o maior \u00edndice de envelhecimento populacional em 2011, valor igualmente superior \u00e0 media da regi\u00e3o de Lisboa (118,3 %) e do Continente (131,3 %).<\/p>\n

Cerca de 66,5 % da popula\u00e7\u00e3o idosa vive s\u00f3 (3.736) ou em companhia exclusiva de pessoas tamb\u00e9m idosas (7.620).<\/p>\n

Em 2011, existem no Concelho do Barreiro 33.175 fam\u00edlias cl\u00e1ssicas, tendo-se registado um acr\u00e9scimo de 10,7 % relativamente a 2011. No entanto, as fam\u00edlias s\u00e3o hoje menos numerosas. A dimens\u00e3o m\u00e9dia das fam\u00edlias em 2011 \u00e9 de 2,4 enquanto que em 2001 era de 2,6.<\/p>\n

O n\u00famero de edif\u00edcios destinados \u00e0 habita\u00e7\u00e3o e recenseados em 20112 \u00e9 de 11.008 e o n\u00famero de alojamentos \u00e9 de 47.771, tendo-se registado um crescimento face ao recenseamento de 2001.<\/p>\n

Apesar da dimens\u00e3o m\u00e9dia dos edif\u00edcios ter aumentado, o parque habitacional continua maioritariamente constitu\u00eddo por edif\u00edcio com apenas um alojamento destinado \u00e0 habita\u00e7\u00e3o (55,3 %), seguido da tipologia dos 7 aos 12 alojamentos por unidade edificada.<\/p>\n

Os edif\u00edcios exclusivamente residenciais s\u00e3o a esmagadora maioria, com 90,7 % dos edif\u00edcios do concelho. A maioria dos alojamentos familiares \u00e9 de resid\u00eancia habitual (78,8 %). Os alojamentos de resid\u00eancia secund\u00e1ria e vagos representam respectivamente 8,7 % e 12,5 %.<\/p>\n

Na rela\u00e7\u00e3o de propriedade estabelecida, cerca de 72,4 % dos alojamentos de resid\u00eancia habitual s\u00e3o ocupados pelo propriet\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n
