\u00c9 Chefe de Servi\u00e7o de Cl\u00ednica Geral, Especialista de Medicina Desportiva, \u00e9 m\u00e9dico da Comiss\u00e3o M\u00e9dica do COP (Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico de Portugal), \u00e9 m\u00e9dico respons\u00e1vel pelo controle de \u201cdoping\u201d da A.D.O.P, Supervisor Doctor da F.I.B.A. (Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Basket), membro da dire\u00e7\u00e3o da Sociedade Portuguesa de Medicina Desportiva, m\u00e9dico da F.P.B. (Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa de Basket), e m\u00e9dico convidado para integrar a Equipa Ol\u00edmpica Londres\/2012.<\/p>\n

Foi este m\u00e9dico barreirense, de que todos n\u00f3s nos orgulhamos, que no passado dia 30 de Janeiro, foi aoRotary Club do Barreiro, falar sobre \u201cMedicina Desportiva\/ Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos \u2013 Londres2012\u201d.<\/p>\n

Agradeceu o honroso convite que lhe foi feito pelos rot\u00e1rios barreirenses e sobre o tema come\u00e7ou por dizer, ainda antes de uma proje\u00e7\u00e3o de \u201cslides\u201d, que para estas olimp\u00edadas, foram convidados 108 atletas de 19 modalidades.<\/p>\n

Atualmente est\u00e3o j\u00e1 apurados 41 atletas de 8 modalidades, sendo 15 do atletismo, 5 de canoagem, 4 do ciclismo, 4 de gin\u00e1stica, 1 de nata\u00e7\u00e3o, 1 de remo, 2 de tiro e 9 de vela.<\/p>\n

Seria demasiado fastidioso enumerar todos os atletas j\u00e1 apuradas, que poder\u00e1 ser consultado na internet em \u201chttp:\/www.comiteolimpicoportugal.pt\/atletas-projecto-londres-2012\u201d<\/p>\n

Seguiu-se a proje\u00e7\u00e3o dos \u201cslides\u201d tendo sido lido pelo Dr. Val\u00e9rio que \u201cno dia em que faltam exatamente seis meses para o in\u00edcio dos Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos de Londres2012, aAldeia Ol\u00edmpica come\u00e7ou a ser mobilada e equipada para que possa estar pronta a receber os mais de 10.000 atletas e 6.000 membros oficiais.<\/p>\n

Matthew Pinsent, quatro vezes Campe\u00e3o Ol\u00edmpico, j\u00e1 come\u00e7ou a ajudar no processo de transportar as 16.000 camas que ir\u00e3o ser instaladas. Os impressionantes n\u00fameros incluem tamb\u00e9m 64.000 len\u00e7\u00f3is, 21.000 almofadas, 9.000 roupeiros, 170.000 cabides, 11.000 sof\u00e1s, al\u00e9m de televisores e equipamentos Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

Ser\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m constru\u00edda uma cantina tempor\u00e1ria, que estar\u00e1 aberta 24 horas por dia, com capacidade para 5.000 pessoas, e tamb\u00e9m o Village Plaza Caf\u00e9 naquela que ser\u00e1 a maior opera\u00e7\u00e3o de catering do mundo, com 60.000 refei\u00e7\u00f5es servidas diariamente, 25.000 p\u00e3es, 232 toneladas de batatas,75.000 litrosde leite e mais de 330 toneladas de fruta e vegetais.<\/p>\n

Para completar as instala\u00e7\u00f5es ser\u00e1 criado um Centro de Boas-Vindas, um Gin\u00e1sio topo de gama e tamb\u00e9m o Olympic Village Plaza, um centro comercial com todos os servi\u00e7os e lojas essenciais quer para os atletas, quer para os convidados. Banco, sal\u00f5es de beleza, uma zona de internet lounge, a loja oficial de Londres 2012 e um centro de entretenimento.<\/p>\n

Depois dos Jogos, a Aldeia Ol\u00edmpica ser\u00e1 convertida em 2.818 apartamentos divididos por 11 unidades, numa comunidade que se chamar\u00e1 East Village.<\/p>\n

Foi inaugurado, esta quinta-feira, em Harlow, o laborat\u00f3rio antidoping dos Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos de Londres2012. Ainstala\u00e7\u00e3o com a tecnologia mais avan\u00e7ada de sempre foi fornecida pela empresa farmac\u00eautica GlaxoSmithKline e ser\u00e1 operada pelos especialistas em antidoping do Kings College de Londres, liderados pelo Professor David Cowan, e apoiados por cientistas de todo o mundo.<\/p>\n

A infra-estrutura situada a30 quil\u00f3metrosdo centro da zona de competi\u00e7\u00f5es vai estar em funcionamento 24 horas por dia e vai analisar cerca de 6.250 amostras durante os Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos, que decorrer\u00e3o entre 27 de Julho e 12 de Agosto, e durante os Jogos Paral\u00edmpicos, a disputar entre 29 de Agosto e 9 de Setembro.<\/p>\n

Est\u00e1 previsto no programa antidoping dos Jogos Londres’2012 que os 150 cientistas especializados em anti-doping far\u00e3o o controlo de um em cada dois atletas e de todos os “medalhados”, processo que envolver\u00e1 cerca de 1.000 pessoas do staff do LOGOC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seguiu-se um per\u00edodo de perguntas e respostas e com a proje\u00e7\u00e3o dos diversos pavilh\u00f5es recentemente constru\u00eddos para o efeito, todos os presentes se mostraram agradavelmente surpreendidos e entusiasmados por tamb\u00e9m termos um representante barreirense nestes jogos Ol\u00edmpicos, o nosso palestrante, Dr.Ant\u00f3nio Val\u00e9rioRosa.<\/p>\n
