Os recentes an\u00fancios da extin\u00e7\u00e3o da Sociedade do Arco Ribeirinho Sul e do cancelamento dos investimentos na Baixo Tejo, que inclu\u00eda o prolongamento do IC 32, que se juntam \u00e0, j\u00e1 anteriormente anunciada, suspens\u00e3o para reavalia\u00e7\u00e3o, dos projectos de constru\u00e7\u00e3o do novo aeroporto de Lisboa, do TGV e da Terceira Travessia do Tejo, confirmam a enviesada pol\u00edtica de abandono de qualquer ideia de desenvolvimento para o Distrito de Set\u00fabal e para o Concelho do Barreiro, prosseguida pelo actual e anteriores governos.<\/p>\n

Num momento particularmente marcado por uma violenta ofensiva contra os trabalhadores e o povo, que se traduz num brutal agravamento das suas condi\u00e7\u00f5es de vida e de trabalho, ao inv\u00e9s de anunciar as medidas que se imp\u00f5em, de valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento do Concelho do Barreiro, dando prioridade a pol\u00edticas de crescimento e de emprego, vem agora o Governo, ao que diz, no estrito cumprimento do programa da troika, assinado pelo PS, pelo PSD e pelo CDS, anunciar novas medidas, de adiamento, suspens\u00e3o ou cancelamento de obras e projectos essenciais para o Barreiro e para a Regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

O Executivo da Comiss\u00e3o Concelhia do Partido Comunista Portugu\u00eas, reunido ontem, dia 22 de Agosto, reafirmando a necessidade de ruptura com as pol\u00edticas que t\u00eam vindo a ser seguidas por sucessivos governos e repudiando as medidas agora anunciadas, insiste na necessidade de avan\u00e7ar com o projecto de requalifica\u00e7\u00e3o da Quimiparque, na necessidade da constru\u00e7\u00e3o da ponte Barreiro\/Chelas e na necessidade da conclus\u00e3o das obras j\u00e1 iniciadas de prolongamento do IC 32, como partes importantes na estrat\u00e9gia de cria\u00e7\u00e3o de emprego, de desenvolvimento e melhoria das acessibilidades do Concelho do Barreiro.<\/p>\n

Reafirma o seu empenhamento na obten\u00e7\u00e3o destes objectivos estrat\u00e9gicos e exorta a popula\u00e7\u00e3o do Barreiro \u00e0 sua participa\u00e7\u00e3o e envolvimento no esclarecimento e mobiliza\u00e7\u00e3o para a luta contra as medidas governamentais anunciadas e pela concretiza\u00e7\u00e3o de um projecto de desenvolvimento e cria\u00e7\u00e3o de emprego para o Barreiro.\u00a0<\/p>\n
