– Factos da hist\u00f3ria: –<\/strong>
\nNo dia 8 de Mar\u00e7o do ano de 1857, as oper\u00e1rias t\u00eaxteis de uma f\u00e1brica de Nova Iorque entraram em greve, ocupando a f\u00e1brica, para reivindicarem a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de um hor\u00e1rio de mais de 16 horas para as 10 horas di\u00e1rias. Estas oper\u00e1rias recebiam menos de um ter\u00e7o do sal\u00e1rio dos homens, foram fechadas na f\u00e1brica onde, entretanto, se declarara um inc\u00eandio, e cerca de 130 mulheres morreram queimadas. Em 1910, numa confer\u00eancia internacional de mulheres realizada na Dinamarca, foi decidido, em homenagem \u00e0quelas mulheres, comemorar o 8 de Mar\u00e7o como “Dia Internacional da Mulher”. Em 1977, as Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas proclamam o dia 8 de Mar\u00e7o como o:- Dia Internacional dos Direitos da Mulher e da Paz.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Como era em Portugal, para que a mem\u00f3ria n\u00e3o seja curta.<\/strong>

\nA constitui\u00e7\u00e3o de 1933, que vigorou at\u00e9 \u00a01974, \u00a0estabelecia um princ\u00edpio de falsa igualdade, material e imaterial. A mulher praticamente n\u00e3o tinha direitos. Se se tratasse de uma mulher casada, os direitos eram exercidos pelo chefe de fam\u00edlia.
\nA lei portuguesa designava o marido como chefe de fam\u00edlia, donde resultava uma s\u00e9rie de incapacidades para a mulher casada, contrariamente \u00e0 mulher solteira, de maioridade, que era considerada cidad\u00e3 de plenos direitos, ainda que limitados. A mulher n\u00e3o tinha direito de voto, n\u00e3o tinha possibilidade de exercer nenhum cargo pol\u00edtico, e, mesmo em termos da fam\u00edlia, a mulher n\u00e3o tinha os mesmos direitos na educa\u00e7\u00e3o dos filhos.
\nNesse tempo, a Lei atribu\u00eda \u00e0 mulher casada uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o espec\u00edfica: o governo dom\u00e9stico, o que se traduzia pela imposi\u00e7\u00e3o dos trabalhos dom\u00e9sticos como obriga\u00e7\u00e3o. E os poderes especiais do pai e da m\u00e3e em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao filho resultavam na sobrevaloriza\u00e7\u00e3o do pai e subalternidade da m\u00e3e, que, como recomendava a lei, apenas devia ser ouvida.
\nOutro dos problemas que a mulher enfrentava na altura acontecia nas situa\u00e7\u00f5es de reconstitui\u00e7\u00e3o da fam\u00edlia. O div\u00f3rcio era proibido, devido ao acordo \u00a0estabelecido com a Igreja Cat\u00f3lica na Concordata de 1944, pelo que todas as crian\u00e7as nascidas de uma nova rela\u00e7\u00e3o, posterior ao primeiro casamento, eram consideradas ileg\u00edtimas. E havia duas alternativas no acto do registo: a mulher ou dava \u00e0 crian\u00e7a o nome do marido anterior ou assumia o estatuto de “m\u00e3e inc\u00f3gnita”. O que n\u00e3o podia era dar o seu nome e o do marido actual. No que diz respeito \u00e0 quest\u00e3o profissional, a mulher n\u00e3o tinha direito de acesso a determinados lugares que se considerava que deviam ser ocupados por homens. A magistratura, a diplomacia e a pol\u00edtica s\u00e3o apenas alguns dos exemplos de sectores profissionais a que a mulher n\u00e3o podia aceder.
\nA Mulher era sujeita a restri\u00e7\u00f5es sociais impeditivas da sua liberdade de escolha, as casadas n\u00e3o podiam mexer na sua propriedade, as enfermeiras n\u00e3o podiam casar, uma professora s\u00f3 podia casar com um homem que tivesse um vencimento e estatuto superior ao seu, tinham que pedir autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o para casar, autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o que seria publicada em Di\u00e1rio da Rep\u00fablica.<\/p>\n

Uma mulher casada n\u00e3o podia ir para o estrangeiro e trabalhar onde bem entendesse sem autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o do marido. O marido podia chegar a uma empresa ou estabelecimento p\u00fablico e dizer: eu n\u00e3o autorizo a minha esposa a trabalhar. E ela tinha que vir embora, tinha que ser despedida”<\/p>\n

E por \u00faltimo, a viol\u00eancia dom\u00e9stica era votada \u00e0s \u201cmalvas\u201d considerada tabu como sendo normalidade na viv\u00eancia das fam\u00edlias. ANORMALIDADES DE OUTROS TEMPOS.<\/p>\n

Infelizmente (por enquanto) em muitas sociedades deste Planeta Azul, os direitos da mulher n\u00e3o est\u00e3o globalizados, pelo que lutar pela\u00a0 paridade de direitos e deveres seja um prop\u00f3sito\u00a0 e um dever de cidadania de todos e para todos.<\/p>\n
