Em Kilimanjaro, o conto de Hemingway serve de centro de gravidade a uma dramaturgia que imagina o percurso de Harry atrav\u00e9s de um conjunto de outros contos e cartas do escritor norte-americano \u2013 da adolesc\u00eancia \u00e0 idade adulta, entre hist\u00f3rias de camaradagem, romances falhados e guerras. \u00c1frica, Estados Unidos, It\u00e1lia, Espanha e Su\u00ed\u00e7a s\u00e3o os pa\u00edses percorridos na pe\u00e7a, numa busca existencialista por um sentido que teima em escapar. Uma procura que lembra a do leopardo cuja carca\u00e7a foi encontrada, seca e gelada, no topo da mais alta montanha de \u00c1frica \u2013 aquele que Hemingway utilizou como ep\u00edgrafe no conto que d\u00e1 nome a este espect\u00e1culo. At\u00e9 hoje, continua por explicar o que o animal procurava a tal altitude.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961), escritor norte-americano, recebeu o Pr\u00e9mio Nobel da Literatura em 1954. A sua obra foi influenciada pelos grandes acontecimentos da primeira metade do s\u00e9culo passado, nomeadamente pela experi\u00eancia de duas Guerras Mundiais e da Guerra Civil Espanhola. As v\u00e1rias pol\u00e9micas em que se envolveu, fruto de uma tend\u00eancia natural para a dissens\u00e3o, tornaram-no muitas vezes numa personagem de si pr\u00f3prio. O enorme n\u00famero de escritores que procuraram imit\u00e1-lo contrasta grandemente com a escassez daqueles que chegaram a aproximar-se da sua grandeza.
