\u00a0Foi h\u00e1 154 anos, no dia 8 de Mar\u00e7o de 1857, que as oper\u00e1rias de Nova York fizeram greve, ocupando a f\u00e1brica, exigindo a redu\u00e7\u00e3o do tempo de trabalho de 16 horas para 10 horas por dia e sal\u00e1rios iguais aos atribu\u00eddos aos homens. Estas oper\u00e1rias recebiam menos de um ter\u00e7o do sal\u00e1rio atribu\u00eddo aos sal\u00e1rios dos homens.<\/p>\n

Estas ac\u00e7\u00f5es organizadas ter\u00e3o sido as primeiras, em todo o mundo, a serem realizadas por trabalhadores do sexo feminino.<\/p>\n

TU a quem o patr\u00e3o explora<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Em homenagem \u00e0 luta destas trabalhadoras, numa Confer\u00eancia Internacional de Mulheres, realizada na Dinamarca, foi institu\u00eddo em 1910, o dia 8 de Mar\u00e7o como Dia Internacional da Mulher<\/strong>, simbolizando a luta travada em prol dos direitos iguais entre homens e mulheres.<\/p>\n

N\u00e3o quero apenas referir-me aos factos hist\u00f3ricos que estiveram na origem nesta comemora\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Nos tempos que correm e ap\u00f3s a aprova\u00e7\u00e3o do Diploma, no dia 11 de Fevereiro de 2007, sobre a Interrup\u00e7\u00e3o Volunt\u00e1ria da Gravidez (IVG), importa avaliar como \u00e9 que na pr\u00e1tica tal se tem repercutido na Sociedade Portuguesa, nomeadamente sobre as mulheres:<\/p>\n

– Atrasos, insufici\u00eancias, incompreens\u00f5es quando n\u00e3o mesmo ostensiva recusa de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o da Lei, continuando a marcar de forma discriminada o acesso da mulher aos cuidados m\u00e9dicos garantidos no correspondente enquadramento legal.<\/p>\n

Com igual equidade, importa assinalar o crescendo de viol\u00eancia que se tem vindo a notar, no tratamento da mulher, quer dom\u00e9stico quer em termos sociais.<\/p>\n

E lutas a luta de viver todos os dias<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Os recentes n\u00fameros trazidos a p\u00fablico pela APAV, seguramente inferiores \u00e0 realidade, mas dando na mesma uma significativa imagem de escalada desta viol\u00eancia, preocupa-nos e s\u00f3 pode obter a nossa mais veemente condena\u00e7\u00e3o e rep\u00fadio.<\/p>\n

Segundo o INE \u2013 Instituto Nacional de Estat\u00edstica, no \u00faltimo trimestre de 2010, existiam 323 600 mulheres sem trabalho, representando um crescimento de 14% do desemprego feminino, correspondendo a 52% do total de desempregados, o que torna imprescind\u00edvel e urgente a continua\u00e7\u00e3o da luta por um emprego digno e est\u00e1vel como aconteceu h\u00e1 154 anos atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

Apesar das muitas e significativas melhorias na vida das mulheres, pelo mundo fora, ainda hoje faz todo o sentido, em assinalar esta data, pois as descrimina\u00e7\u00f5es, as desigualdades e as viola\u00e7\u00f5es de direitos, como o acesso \u00e0 sa\u00fade, educa\u00e7\u00e3o e emprego ainda persistem.<\/p>\n
